Parents and family members, Date: December 11, 2009 Topics that will be covered are: Special Education Law Special Education Rights IDEA Act Individual Education Plans WI Dept of Public Instruction Transition Planning Questions and Concerns from Parents Ombudsman Program Included in the seminar will be information about strategies parents and students may use to gain access to special education services that serve students best. The seminar will be presented by Genie Hudlund, attorney and office manager for Disability Rights Wisconsin. The Ombudsman Program will be presented by Jenny Borgh, Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman. There will be time for questions after each presentation. Refreshments will be provided.
